Phase 1 : Types and use of PPE.

Why this 1-phase training
In this course, participants are extensively introduced to the different types of Personal Protective Equipment available for working safely at height. It covers the differences in deployment and use of harnesses, lanyards, positioning lines, fall arrest blocks and mobile fall protection.

Not just theory, but combined with practical training of the PPE. After the training the participants are able to combine the correct PPE, know how to use it and can assess in principle whether the PPE is safe to use by a simple inspection of the equipment before use.

What and who is suitable for
This course is particularly suitable for participants dealing with :

– handed a PPE kit, but not enough practical knowledge to use it properly
– unfamiliarity what happens in the event of a fall
– making a choice of when to use which PPE, yes/no fall arrestor, how to combine
– working on anchor points or line systems on the roof
– installing temporary fall protection and the choices therein
– working safely and leashed in an aerial work platform
– working at height on flat and sloping roofs

Participation and duration
Maximum of 6 participants per instructor
Maximum of 1-day portion

Certification
Participants who successfully complete the course receive a personal digital certificate, which
is valid for 2 years.
