In early 2004, major shareholder Petroplus International sold Tango to Kuwait Petroleum (known for its Q8 gas stations). At that time, there were over 70 Tango stations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. At the beginning of 2008, the milestone of 100 filling stations in the Netherlands alone was reached; by 2013, there were 150. From 2013, Dutch Q8 filling stations are gradually being converted to Tango’s.
Request to install non-visible fall protection
Several Tango stations in the Netherlands have been made more sustainable with Solar panels on the roofs of the stations. For a secure access to the roof surface and to be able to install the solar panels safely, Eyecatcher was asked to come up with a solution. This request was made for 36 gas stations in the Netherlands.
Since a permanent (cage) ladder for access is not an option in such a location, a ladder restraint was chosen to secure a removable ladder against sideways fall away and slipping under. To meet the requirement of non-visible fall protection, which had to be attached to a metal roof, the Spinfix was suggested. This very low-profile system proved to meet the client’s requirement excellently.
