Already in 2019, DPG Media announced that they were having a new Dutch headquarters built in Amsterdam-Duivendrecht[3] (municipality of Ouder-Amstel) at Van der Madeweg 40.
This building is located on the other side of the A10 motorway about a kilometer away from the previous location.
Completion of this wood-hybrid office, called Mediavaert, occurred on March 1, 2024,[4] which includes the radio studios and newsroom.
The studios were commissioned on June 3, 2024.
Inclined cage ladder to the roof
A safe access to the roof of Q-Music by means of a cage ladder. Surely that’s not too difficult a request in principle. But here the facade sloped away, so a standard cage ladder was not an option. And then it comes down to customization! Q-Music came to the right place at Eyecatcher. Our experts expertly assessed the situation and a specially designed cage ladder was designed and manufactured. Dutch manufacture, of course.
At the top and bottom, the cage ladder is laid freely on the roofing with ballast blocks, because it was not allowed to drill into the facade. Furthermore, the cage ladder was fitted with fencing at the top so that a person could safely leave and approach the cage ladder. Another beautiful piece of work at height provided by Eyecatcher !
