Feadship is a partnership of two shipyards, Royal Van Lent and Royal De Vries Scheepsbouw. The yards produce high-quality superyachts ranging from 40 meters to more than 160 meters.
Safe navigation on superyachts
Since its founding, the length and complexity of the yachts delivered has grown considerably. The yachts exhibited at the 1951 New York Boat Show were still less than 10 meters long. Examples of recent superyachts include the 72.8-meter Predator yacht from 2008[1][2] and the Symphony yacht launched in 2015, which at 101.5 meters was the longest Dutch-built yacht at the time; it has since been overtaken by the two 110-meter Jubilee and Anna built by Oceanco and Feadship.
There is also plenty of attention to safety on superyachts, including fall safety. Commissioned by De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum BV, Eyecatcher supplied EyeFix type hooking eyes, where people can secure themselves at various workplaces against falls from height with a detail for an aesthetically pleasing hooking eye.
