Rooffix
Properties
Roof hook sloping roof with fall indicator
The Rooffix is a ladder hook suitable for sloping roofs and is an aesthetically very attractive stainless steel anchor point with an integrated fall indicator.
For safe work on sloping roofs, the Rooffix is ideally suited as permanent fall protection.
With the Rooffix, the ladder on the roof is secured behind the curved hook and the oval opening is suitable for a carabiner or scaffolding hook of a positioning line.
The oval opening serves as fall protection and is equipped with an integrated fall indicator, so that it can be observed during the annual inspection whether the anchor point is still in order or whether a fall has occurred.
Special wood screws are included for mounting to supporting wooden beams. Various versions of the Rooffix are available, as well as with a special mounting plate. This makes it possible to attach the Rooffix to two wooden support beams. In the case of aged wood, such as in Monuments, a mounting technique that distributes the forces over two beams can also be chosen in this way.
The clever design of the Rooffix roof hook ensures that the fall energy is absorbed by the materials and the fall force is greatly reduced. As a result, damage to the roof is minimal. Fall protection, safe working at height and roof protection go hand in hand with the Rooffix roof hook and anchor point. Besides this roof hook, the anchor point Loopfix EVO according to EN-795:2012 type A is also available. Simply order the Rooffix Roofing Roof Hook or Rooffix Lead Roofs from our web shop www.valbeveiligingkopen.nl.

Fall Indicator
EN-517:2006 type B certified
Standard EN-517 distinguishes between roof hooks type A and type B. The difference is in the directions in which the roof hook is loaded.
Roof hooks type A may only be loaded and used in the direction of the fall line of the roof.
Thus, the user may only move below the anchor point.
Type B safety hooks are approved for “absorption of tensile forces acting both in the direction of the fall line (y-axis), against the direction of fall (y-axis) and also perpendicular to it and parallel to the roof (x-axis).”
Persons using a Type B roof hook can therefore also move sideways to the roof edge, work above the roof hook toward the ridge and even over the ridge on the other half of the roof.
Eyecatcher BV’s roof hook complies with and is certified in accordance with EN-517:2006 type B. Order the Rooffix easily via our web shop www.valbeveiligingkopen.nl.
